I'm going to jump on the bed tonight
Sep. 23rd, 2004 12:46 pmGood things about being on the road
My hotel room in Eau Claire was awesome. Ceiling fan, microwave and fridge, at the end of the hall so naturally quieter, decent continental breakfast.
Mileage reimbursement brings me that much closer to a new car.
Cable. Television.
Scenic drives and little traffic
Commute from hotel to office is less than 5 minutes.
Bad things about being on the road
Missing Marie and the cats
Missing my bed
Driving past the old Hot 'N Now building in Stevens Point and seeing it's now the home of the local Republican Party. The sign that once read "13 burgers for $1.49" now says "Go Bush". And
twicketface wept.
Overprocessed food at every turn
11 hour days instead of 9 hour days
Trying to remember the names of people in other offices
Hearing a co-worker say "Mine was 'Juice Dingleberry'" and not be able to stab him to death.
I forgot to bring my damn CDs along!
