The weekend was fun:

Helped Marie's grandfather put together an automatic garage door opener (which, if you know my complete lack of mechanical ability, is all the more hilarious) and am proud to say I still have all my original fingers.

Survived a meal of shrimp-stuffed manicotti. Blech! It was close. But as a result, it was the best tasting piece of strawberry shortcake I've ever had.

Sunburned my legs during a two hour pontoon ride. It was worth it.

Learned a new card game (Hand and Foot - similar to canasta) and had a fun time, despite the women being victorious.

Laughed myself silly (Marie did too) over a misheard comment situation regarding Marie's grandmother, no bake cheesecake and ass scratching. I'd recount it here, but you really had to be there. I'm still snorting over it.

Went to dinner with my brother with marginal results. Every journey begins with a single step, right?

I'm thinking about starting a new routine. Picking one day where most of my free time will be used for reading, another for movies, one for errands, etc. I think I could get a lot more done if I concentrated on one thing at a time, but it's not in my nature to do so.

Also, fuck the Lakers.

For the first time in about a month, I'm having a good hair day.
