Weekend highlights:
Lunch with my mom and dad on Friday - they're both on vacation this week at the cottage. I also earned Son of the Year by setting up their VCR to tape the 10th anniversary episode of Behind the Actor's Studio.

Seeing Carrie A and Gailen in the Dells. Carrie's store (ok, strip mall) is coming along well, but things are being pushed back a little too much. Anyway, we had a fun time painting and spackling (at least, I did).

Weekend lowlights:
Being told over the phone that yes, we sharpen push mower blades only to be told, upon arrival, that no, we don't sharpen 'that kind' of push mower. I wanted to run *her* over with the mower, but with dull blades, it likely only would have tickled a little.

Our experiment to get Mitten to stop shitting outside the litter box failed. Diapers are next on the list of suggestions.

I now have a gmail acount and will use it to replace my Yahoo account. My disinfo account will be for personal use and gmail for newsletter subscriptions, on-line orders and anything else requiring an email address. I'm a little concerned about the privacy aspect, but anyone that concerned about privacy shouldn't really be on the internet anyway.

Marie and I decided that we're too broke to take a fancy vacation for our anniversary this year, so we'll likely do a three day weekend somewhere and spend the rest of the week at home. I'm rather looking forward to it.

Five-finger discounted from [livejournal.com profile] drainbead

There's a huge chunk of you out there whose LJs I read every day - but in a lot of cases, I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic, normal things.

This is the problem with LJ - we all think we are so close, and while we know about the day-to-day, there's still a lot we don't know about each other. So let's rectify it.

I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you, or say who asked what; I won't divulge any social security numbers and stuff, but I'll try to answer everything - personal - whatever.

I then invite you to do the same. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you.
