I got a dirty look enroute to work today. Approaching a four-way stop intersection, there were two vehicles to my left and no one else around. Vehicle #1 stopped, looked and then proceeded. As he was going through the intersection, I was coming to a complete stop myself. Vehicle #2, an SUV, decided not to come to a complete stop and somehow, be grandfathered into the stop that Vehicle #1 made. So as I was proceeding into the intersection, V#2 did the same. V#2, temporarily coming to her senses, braked and gave me a look as if I shat in her cereal bowl. She raised her hand in visible frustration at me. I returned the gesture and gave her a large smile as I went about my way.

Lately, I've been thinking about people who have strong opinions. In my heart of hearts, I know that conservative Republicans are evil and should be stopped. I also know that, reversing the roles, they feel the same way about their liberal opponents. So who's right? This doesn't mean that we simply give up, but I think a lot more could be gained if people would take into account the fact that they might be wrong.

Presidential issue #10 - Cigarettes will continue to be sold but with a catch. In order to purchase a pack of cigarettes, you must turn in 20 used cigarette butts. No exceptions. This should help clean up the streets and cut down on usage. Eventually, cigarettes will be phased out over time, but this should help in the short-term.

Could it be any more crystal-clear that we need to tear the whole fucking thing down?

This morning, I had a craving for a big muffin. I went to the kitchen at work to fill up my water bottle and saw a tray of delicious muffins and helped myself. I hope you're having that kind of day.
