I was introduced and we both started groovin'

Last night was pretty fun. Terry picked up Marie and I and we surprised Brian for his birthday, which was Saturday. Went out to eat and then back to our place for Terry-made carrot cake. It was very delicious, despite the raisins. We chewed the rag for a bit, looked at our wedding pictures and called it a night. Afterwards, Marie watched some Law and Order and I gleefully installed Max Payne, which arrived from eBay yesterday afternoon. I got it working, but the computer froze up and started emitting a horrible screeching noise causing my scrotum to contract and the hairs on my arms stand at attention. I "shut 'er down" and read from the latest issue of The Sun before checking on the MNF score and falling asleep. I had a dream last night but don't remember too much of it. Something about me losing a tooth. Not good.

I've almost made up my mind to stay at my current job, take advantage of as many training opportunities as I can and take on more responsibility and re-start my search in the Spring. Admittedly, I've become a slacker at work and have not been the model employee I should be. Most of it was retaliation on my part for the lousy raise and lame treatment by my boss, but I should be more mature than that.

I'm getting a new(er) computer at work, which turns out to be my boss's old one. Still a source of disgruntlement with me, but I'll take an improvement over nothing at all. Maybe I should have stayed in the computer line of work; they always get the best tools.

Tonight will be loads of fun as I get to interview Brian and hopefully have time left over to do some drumming. We haven't drummed together since July, so I think I'll be mighty rusty. We're going to try the Blue Album, because we both know it pretty well. I also hope to stop by the Exclusive Company and get a CD or two, possibly Viva Death and the Kevin Seconds/Matt Skiba split CD.
