Burning passion is an antidote.

Today and Monday is/will be unusually slow days "in the office". See, we just got done with our annual convention and as a thank you to the employees, they get a "holiday" on either Friday (today) or Monday. The largest event of it's kind in the world and the primary money-making event, requiring all staff to work 12 hour days at a minimum and we get one whole day off. I decided to put mine towards our vacation next week and was wise in doing so. It's like a morgue in here (without all the dead people) and I've gotten about 40 minutes of work done all day. And I must say, I don't feel guilty about it one bit.

Tonight we'll be packing up for the trip and getting everything in order. I'm very excited about this trip and think it will be great. I'm partially nervous about flying just because it's not my favorite thing to do but I'm sure all will be fine. I find it difficult since I can't read for extended periods of time and also find it hard to sleep. Debating whether or not to bring headphones for the ride.

I am proud of myself for the willpower to avoid reading both the latest issues of The Sun and The Progressive just so we could bring them along. Which reminds me, I need to get cracking on a final draft of my submission to The Sun. Perhaps I should bring it along for revision?

And why is it that the only time someone comes by to ask me a question is the exact moment I'm picking an M&M I dropped out of my crotch?

I'm not sure what to make of this

Things to do when I get home (with no particular time table):
1) Go to the doctor
2) Go to the eye doctor
3) Figure out a time table for the obtainment of a housing structure
4) Continue on with the scanning project
5) Do *something* with my website
6) Come up with a decent LJ layout/design
7) Learn sign language
8) Take a photography course
9) Take a creative writing course
10) Back up my hard drive
11) Continue to work towards the person I want to be
12) Resume drum lessons
13) Get a new answering machine
