And just like that, things change

I came across a posting for a secretary job at a local company. It would include a pay raise and be in the editorial department, both bonuses in my eyes. I'll be sending out a resume tomorrow. I'm just excited to see a job that both interests me and I think I'm qualified for. And the fact that there are secretary positions that pay more than my current job is pretty interesting. I'll be updating the resume tonight and sending it out tomorrow. The career ladder has never been a tool for advancement; I figure I'll take jobs that interest me and focus on being well-rounded over a natural progression.

I had a dream last night that I smoked pot with a group of strangers. It made my throat cool (throat-lozenge cool) and have my voice a helium-influenced sound. Beats me.

I've been thinking about death a lot lately. Just talking to people at work and understanding the things they've been through and how there are 40 year olds that seem poised to go at any moment and 80 year olds that are more carefree than I am.

Today is the 4 year anniversary of when Marie and I started dating. She surprised me with a book of quotations from The Sun; I came to her empty-handed and with a full heart. I have the best wife in the world.

I cut the roof of my mouth with a root beer barrel and the mixture of syrup and blood is unpleasant in my mouth. Perhaps I should stick to minature Mr. Goodbars.

And a big thumbs down to Levis for moving all of their manufacturing business to China. Buttholes.
