And why not just say diagonal? Whatever.

Had a productive evening last night. Stopped at Target to get some blank video tapes (for the video project) and made my way over to Brian. Turns out he didn’t have the item I so urgently desired, but he should have it for me by the weekend. Excellent. Took off after briefly chatting about the MAUS books and Dismemberment Plan discs he’s loaning to me.

Made my way to the library and got some books on personal finance, feminism and morality/ethics. Still ‘dwelling’ on the Eric issue and would like to get some insight on the topic of morality and how we tell right from wrong. Life is difficult, but really fun.

Got home and read MAUS II, what an incredible and terrifying series. The author’s father survived the Holocaust and Auschwitz and told his son the story of how he and his wife survived the hell that was WWII. I wish I knew more about the war (well, certain aspects of it) so I could make better sense of the books, but I think it was a good read nonetheless.

Also, I got my three Sun books and they look fantastic. Really thick and I can’t wait to start in on them. I’ve got literally about a dozen books I want to dig right into. Reading is fundamental.

I woke up pretty early today and was into work by 7:30. Tried to update my website, but http://www.brinkster.com is still being a pain in the ass in regards to being able to log in. Makes it rather hard to update my site when I can’t access the files. I’m also trying to get in touch with the current Webmaster of the BB/BS site in Oshkosh since I’ll be taking over for him, but he’s not easy to get a hold of. I just need a password and knowledge of how to update the files and I can get busy.

Random Thoughts of the Day
Should overweight people have to pay more health insurance costs since technically they are more of a burden to society? I think the same should be for people with extra children. For example, our health plan at work has three options. a) single (just the employee), b) limited family (the employee and one dependent – usually spouse or child), and c) Family (employee plus all dependents). This means that if Marie and I have one child, we pay the same rates as someone who is married and has 4 children. Is this fair?

Having three Page a Day calendars is pretty great. I have two at home and one at work. The two at home (MAD magazine and Close To Home) are pretty good and the Far Side one at work always cracks me up.

I’m on a quest for deodorant that works.
