Friday
Friday was a pretty quiet night. Marie and I watched “Keeping the Faith” with Ben Stiller and Edward Norton. It was rather funny and enjoyable. I think I’ve got a new second favorite actor in Edward Norton. Very convincing.

My CD of goodies finally came from the mailman, after two sending attempts on the part of [livejournal.com profile] mikecheck. Thanks again, chief.

Also did some reading and dicking around on the computer. No big whoop.

Saturday
Saturday was rather productive. I had a nice long chat with [livejournal.com profile] mikecheck in the morning about money, technology and how we can tell the temperature using our testicles. I was a little groggy at the time.

After getting showered and dressed, went to drop off some recycling stuff, dropped the movie off, stopped at the bank and then went furniture/TV shopping. Marie and I later realized we don’t really need a new TV at this point (I have a 18 or so year old Panasonic from my parent’s that I had all through college that is still functioning. Marie wanted to get one to replace it and I wanted to get one so we could have a TV in the computer room, for if we want to watch separate shows. After discussing it, we realized there are more important things to spend our money on at right now). It was fun regardless.

Came back and went for a walk to the local park. Tried out my new ‘personal navigator’ but it had too large of a scale to show us moving around, but at least it works. Marie and I then walked South back to our apartment at an average speed of 3.9 miles per hour.

I made a batch of fruit smoothies as a reward and played some Rummy 5,000,000 with Marie. I’m at about 12,500 points with Marie trailing by about 100 or so. It is my mission to finish our tournament before I die, but I don’t know if that’s logically possible.

Saturday night we made a pizza for supper (broccoli and onion) that was delicious. A little heavy on the cheese, but delicious. We watched Fried Green Tomatoes and most of SNL after that. I had two bowls of Lucky Charms around midnight. I felt like a college student all over again.

Sunday
Sunday was a trip to Neenah to watch the game with my parents. I spent a little time downloading a few games (that ended up not working anyway) and some songs. I got the Foo Fighters track from the Orange County soundtrack, not a great song but catchy nonetheless. Got two Dismemberment plan tracks as well, I’m hoping to get their second latest album soon.

After the game, we stopped by to visit Terry. Brian happened to stop there as well, which was nice. The four of us visited while Terry and I played some cribbage. I won 3 of 4 games and am on my way to another tournament victory. Woo hoo. I found out that one of our mutual friends is taking advantage of stores when electronics of his break. Seems that he will buy a new item and then return the broken item and get his money back. I think this is pretty heinous and shouldn’t be done. Do I approach him on it or simply let it go and stew about it?

After that, we returned home and watched our usual Sunday Fox line-up over vegetarian chicken patties and salad. Despite being a little pricey, they are so tasty.

I went to bed around 10:30 last night and had the *worst* time trying to fall asleep. I’ve had this reoccurring, disruptive cough where it feels like I’ve got something caught in my throat (a thorn or shard of plastic) but no matter how much I cough, it doesn’t clear itself for any length of time. Lying down seems to make it worse, which is no good for someone trying to get some sleep. So I got about 5 hours of sleep and woke up tired and annoyed. Marie and I will be getting groceries tonight, so hopefully I can find a throat spray or some such medicine to ease my woes.

It’s time for lunch.

I have what I think is a good idea. I’d like to interview most of my friends (one at a time), 50 questions style about their habits, philosophies, prophecies, and ideas via camcorder. I’d then like to compile the results somehow and do the same thing (interview them all again, same questions) 5 or 10 (or both) years later to see how they’ve grown, what changes in their lives they’ve had, etc.

My only reservation is that people might think it’s a waste of time and not want to cooperate. I just think it would be a fun, sociological ‘experiment’ to see how people change and how people view their lives and the future. Plus, I’d get a lot more use out of the camcorder and get to come up with some cool, interesting questions. I’ll put that on the back burner. Hard part would be getting people together to do so, as some of my friends are rather spread out.

Random Thoughts Of The Afternoon:
I trimmed my beard this morning. I feel so much more attractive when I’m sporting a well-maintained beard. A co-worker of mine is growing a mustache. I think he looks like a Muppet from Sesame Street. Guy Smiley or something.

I have a tendency to get pimples on my temples. It hurts when I’m putting on or taking off my glasses or when I forget and touch my temple. It sucks to be me, sometimes.

I wanted to get a Working Assets credit card, but I think they went under. Anybody know of a good (moral) company to get a credit card through? The only reason I want to continue having one is to maintain my ‘good credit’ so I can buy a house when I want to. Stupid? You betcha.

I think I’ll be buying some cheese curds tonight.
