Too busy for a LiveJournal entry? Almost.
Sep. 5th, 2001 04:41 pmTonight our photographer is coming to show the proofs from the wedding. We are super excited to see them and share with friends, if the info to send back my scanner would ever come in. Will have to crack some heads at Best Buy tomorrow. Last night had me playing 3 games with my new team for Madden 2002, with me going 0-3. I don’t think the Raiders like me, so I might switch to the Seahawks. New season starts Sunday, so I’d best make up my mind quickly.
I’m actually working on something new to post on my website. Consider your spine tingled.
I had Eric Clapton’s “My father’s eyes” song in my head all weekend in Eagle River. Yesterday I was put on hold and that same song came on. It was eerie.
I got a new phone at work today, it's pretty rad.
Random thoughts of the day:
Marie’s sunroof will be $125 to fix. The dealership is paying for half of it, since we just got the car, which is pretty nice. Should be fixed by Monday, depending on when the new motor comes in.
As I struggled to fall asleep last night, it hit me. The greatest example of why trickle-down economics doesn’t work is CEO pay. Check out http://www.paywatch.org and compare what CEOs are making to what entry level workers are. If the minimum wage rose proportionately to CEO pay it would be around $24/hour right now, instead of $5.15. Food for thought? Discuss.
I get to play with RoadRunner tonight at my parent’s place and hopefully download the newest version of Netscape to see if it really does suck or not. Also hope to find some MP3s as well.
