Allergic to allergies
Jul. 3rd, 2001 11:06 amMy left eye hurts. It itches like hell and feels like my eyelid is hanging at half-mast. And I refuse to call Joan Lunden to solve me problems. In the Unabomber’s Mainfesto, it states that leftists enjoy discomfort and have a bit of masochism in them. And when I think about it, it might fit for me. I hate taking medicine and don’t take drugs/drink to numb what I’m feeling. I’d rather deal with it than place my hopes in a pill or bottle. But still no urge to bomb random people. Specific people, hell yeah. But random people? No way.
I’m so glad that I’ve got tomorrow off. Don’t have a damn thing planned other than sleeping in (which I never do) and watching movies with Marie. Maybe go for a swim too. Oh yeah, and all those interested, check out http://www.adbusters.org to learn about celebrating “Independence from Corporate Rule”. It’s highly overdue.
I get married a month from tomorrow and I’m so excited. I think that the next 5 weeks (honeymoon included) is going to be a whirlwind. Plus, AirVenture 2001 will be starting up in about 3 weeks, so timing is truly everything. I’ll be back out at Camper Registration. The accounting folks who do the grocery shopping buy me Red, White and Blue Popsicles, so I’m set for the week.
Random thoughts of the week:
Marie and I got her car last night. 98 Dodge Neon, red and pretty sweet. Taking some getting used to, since it’s smaller and much newer than my car, but fun. I’m looking forward to the day when we go back to one car, but for now we’re biting the bullet and hanging our heads a bit.
I wish that I knew how to take good photos. I’ll have to check into taking a photography class. I love to take pictures, but feel that most of mine don’t turn out as good as they could.
Why must there be backne(acne on the back, for those of you not ‘in the know’)?
Slaughterhouse, the book I’m reading right now, is really interesting but really saddening as well. I think I’m going to start with reducing my red meat intake (which I’ve been working on for a while now) until I can eliminate it. E coli comes from cow feces splattered in the meat that you eat. If that doesn’t make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, I don’t know what will…
I need to make up a personal budget again. I do one every once in a while, but then I’ve got to change my amounts of direct deposit around too. Hope to have the car paid off in a little over two years, which shouldn’t be too difficult. I also want to start looking for a stereo, but that can wait until we buy a house (in the distant future).
I fear that I’m boring.
