Tuesday night I dreamt that we were at a church function (I think it was a wedding). My brother came up to me. He was incredibly tall (we're about the same height in real life, but he had a good 18 inches on me). He said that he talked with mom "really early yesterday" and he realized why I didn't want to have him in my life anymore. It was like he was absolving me of sibling obligation. I was relieved and happy to hear this. I wonder what the holidays will be like this year.

Mitten got her stitches out and seems to be even more packed with glee and meows. Her habits of waking us up multiple times through the night are preparing us for parenthood. At least, that's the positive spin I'm trying to put on it. Marie found out, accidentially, that leaving the hall light on for her after we close our door helps. We'll have to look into getting her a nightlight of some sort.

Tonight should be a work night, as last night was a bust. I need to mow the lawn, get some stuff together to mail out, get groceries, hopefully clean the basement and start a personal plan for myself. Despite them not working in the past, I need to do this. I want to come up with a list of things to do (other than television/computer related), goals with timelines to get things accomplished and an exercise routine that I will stick to. I've been so worn out lately and I know it's because I'm redefining 'sloth'. Could this be the spring in which I emerge from the basement victorious? Stay tuned.

While in Michigan, Marie and I saw our first two episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Just when I thought our culture couldn't become more obsessed with lookism and vanity...Cripes, it was pretty tough to watch.

Even though baseball is about as exciting as going to the dentist, I did want the Cubs to win.
