I'm in the Sheboygan office today where I have a pretty good office with a pretty good window view. People are hustling in and out of their cars, trying to minimize the wind's influence on their mood. And here I sit, sorting through paperwork and answering emails, happy that I get to leave early.
Marie came home with some bad news - the agency she works for is having a hard time coming up with funding and so her position might be eliminated at the end of the year, if not sooner. She was told back in May that it might happen, but to not worry about it. We both knew that she wasn't going to be there long term anyway, but it's always nice to be able to go out on your own terms.
We'll be taking a look at our budget this weekend and probably check the classifieds just to be safe. I'm not worried about making ends meet - we're by no means rich but we handle our money pretty well. Maybe this is a sign for Marie to go back to school for her Master's degree. More debt is never a good thing, but maybe this is the time to do it.
The weekend should be a relaxing one. I need to mow the lawn before it rises up against me and think it'll be a good weekend to keep up with the scanning project. We also want to tackle repainting the guest bedroom before it gets too cold, so I might have Adventures in Taping in store as well.
And now, before I gnaw off my hand, I'm going to lunch.
