Oreos taste like junk now
May. 22nd, 2003 08:09 pmAn employee is celebrating a birthday and brought in a wide variety of Oreos (double stuff, original, low fat, peanut butter, and so forth). So, being the type of person who likes cookies for breakfast, I grabbed a few. They taste how they are supposed to, but they don't taste good. I'm so old.
Next week for two days I'll be in Illinois for training. I'll be spending two nights there and will have a roommate, someone else from the company that works out of the Indy office. I vastly prefer my own room, but company policy is to double up or pay the difference ($75/night) for the luxury of a single room. I figure that's a shitload of money to be able to not fight over the remote, so I'm going to try sharing a room. As long as he doesn't snore or request the heat on at night, I think I'll live. I'm just happy that my car will be able to make it there without bursting into flames.
:knocks on wood:
I'm really getting into the Jawbox cds that Brian is letting me borrow. He also told me of a great website that has lots of concerts available for viewing on-line. We've decided to go with DSL instead of a cable modem connection and for $60/month will have local, long distance and internet. Hope to get it all hooked up as soon as we move in. For some reason, the telephone company won't give us our new number until two weeks before we move. What, like someone else will be using the number until we get it? Fuckers.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to start a community. It might be neat.
Tonight will be a quiet night, a welcome change. I'm looking forward to cleaning off my dresser top and change my computer passwords.
