Tongue insurance

twicketfaceI need some. Twice in the past week I've burned my tongue (or my tastebuds) on food (soup and chai tea, respectively). I should be intelligent enough to know when things are cool enough to consume. I feel like a failure.
Brian and I hit the drums last night and I got a huge surge from learning how to drum "Don't Come Around Here No More" by Tom Petty in a relatively short amount of time, thanks to Brian's lead. And other than repeatedly dropping my sticks, hitting my knuckles, hitting the underside of the high-hat and generally fucking up, I did pretty well. There is something quite humbling to me, knowing that the littlest Hanson was better at drumming at age 9 than I am at age 24 10.5/12ths. My thumb started to hurt so we kept it brief.
This weekend will be a bevy of activity. Tonight we are getting together with Eric and Lori for dinner in Oshkosh. Tomorrow we meet with a lender from Wells Fargo in the morning, we're visiting my parents afterwards and going to Tony and Tina's wedding at night. Sunday we'll most likely rest and hopefully be able to go for a walk or something. I'm also hoping to log some time into Operation Scanning All Our Pictures too.
