Marie had the great idea yesterday of having me make her a compilation CD from my collection solely based on if she likes the song title or not. This will be quite interesting. A few selections so far:

Soul Coughing – Uh, Zoom Zip
Viva Death – Manipulate Capitulate
NOFX – I Gotta Pee
ALL – She Broke My Dick
The Get Up Kids – Beer for Breakfast
among others. I’m also thinking of sneaking in the GI Joe theme song, but shhhh, don’t tell her!

I’m also going to create a compilation CD of all songs from bands’ first albums, which might be neat. Marie also suggested a compilation CD of all final-song-on-the-CD-songs, which also would be cool. When does it end???

I need to get my car into the shop tomorrow as my Service Engine Soon Light of Impending Doom and Destruction keeps coming on. Hopefully it’s nothing major since I just had it in for inspection in October or November. I’m due for a new set of wheels, but want to get through the winter if possible. I’m leaning towards a Toyota, simply to uphold the tradition of driving the same kind of car that Terry does. We were the Buick Brothers, now we can be the Toyota Twins.

I’m also thinking about (and pretty much have decided to get) a cell phone. Through work, I can get one for $8 a month and with my increasing amount of travel it would be nice to have. The emphasis here is on ‘nice to have’, in that it’s not a necessity. If I get one with voice mail, will you leave interesting messages for me?

Tonight will be doing some computer clean-up, scanning some more pictures and general tomfoolery.

P.S. I forgot to mention that Monday we had a pretty good debate going (as far as debating in a conservative environment goes) about the War on Iraq. The receptionist and I had similar views while the three other women were more leaning towards going to war. It was a nice exchange of ideas and very friendly, because we weren’t intent on changing anyone minds. I wish there was a place where you could go and debate with people, fully understanding you are friends before and afterwards but anything goes during the debates. If I could turn that into a career, I’d be set for life.
