twicketfaceLast night was quite nice. Marie and I had breakfast for dinner (scrambled eggs, toast and veggie bacon) and it was great. Veggie bacon is even better than the real stuff and a blind taste-test would have fooled me, hands down. We then proceeded to get our hump on and then make cookies. Peanut blossoms (the peanut butter ones with the chocolate in the middle on the top) are so tasty. Did some reading and called it a night.
Today my boss (the cool one) was reading "No Logo" at lunch. I got all excited until I realized she was reading it as a favor to her niece, who is my age. She didn't seem to be too impressed with the book, but said it was "pretty good." Maybe she was doing what I sometimes do and carrying around a book that looks cool to make other people think she's cooler than she really is. Or maybe that's just me.
Terry is coming over tonight for cribbage and possibly dinner. The tournament will be settled tonight. I'm trying to stay positive about Terry and Danielle's move once they get married in June, but I know I'm really going to miss them both. I'm looking to the bright side of being able to visit them wherever they end up and the hopes that they'll settle back here once she graduates. Good friends are hard to come by.
Tomorrow I have a really long meeting in regards to our staff survey and reviewing the qualitative results (naming things you like about work and things that suck donkey balls, etc.) It should be fun; I'm interested to see if I have the same outlook of the place as my peers. I also have some telephone interviews to do.
I'm realizing my journal is rather dry at times. I need more wacky adventures. Perhaps the New Year will grant me with car chases and botched lottery schemes.
