Last night Terry and I went to do some tuxedo shopping. The place we went (Men's Warehouse) was just getting into the tux business, so he (and the rest of the wedding party) should be able to get them fairly reasonably. The clerk wasn't too much help, but we could at least browse the styles and colors. An all platinum tuxedo is not out of the question. Terry is getting tails, which will be remarkably hot.

We returned to his place and I filled in Danielle's mom about the job prospect. I think she's more excited about it then I am. Nice to have another person in my corner though. Terry and I hit the cribbage board while alternating between the Singles soundtrack, Beastie Boys and A Few Good Men (along the lines of cheesy "man band" music - 4 or 5 sexy looking black men with thin mustaches singing about freaking their respective lady (or ladies) until the dawn breaks (and then some)). It was, as always, interesting. We called it a night with a 22-21 (I think) score standing. Will finish the tourny next week on my home turf. Also finalized New Year's Eve plans with Terry and Danielle.

This morning was a training session, about the interviewing process and what we can and cannot ask. Not something I really needed to be at, but the materials I got were pretty good for future reference. After that was a Meals on Wheels meeting (which I think I'll be participating in) and then a staff meeting. It's 2:30 and I just filled up my water mug for the first time, an indication of how busy today has been. But in a good way; I haven't had a particularly busy day in a while.

At our staff meeting, my boss instructed me to jerk off. Well, kinda. A few weeks ago, I made up a staff directory including employee photos and put it on our Intranet site. She was asking about feedback that I received and I mentioned a few people didn't like the pictures of themselves. I did mention that there was some positive feedback to me about my hard work, and she said "See, you need to stroke yourself when you get the chance" (in a praise sense and not a tossing-off sense). As soon as the words were uttered, she realized her faux-pas and turned as red as her sweater while the rest of us laughed. Dare I disobey a direct order from my superior?

Tonight Joy and Julie will be joining us for dinner and conversation. It's always such a hassle to get together (our schedules never seem to fit quite right), but always fun when we do. Also hope to get my packages ready to go so I can mail them tomorrow.

I've re-loaded my CD holder and am trying to listen to some older CDs to see if I should keep them. So far, Stone Temple Pilots and my FAT compilations are standing the test of time.

Let's try this again:
