I still need nachos

The weekend was a nice one. Friday was my final chiro appointment, feels good to have an ache-free back. Rushed home and called back my potential future employer. Interview set for the 12th, wish me obscene amounts of good luck. Spent the rest of the night lounging and reading.

Saturday went out for Chinese since I was feeling well and incredibly hungry. Stopped by Shopko and snagged a new VCR (as our two other ones perished slowly over the last two weeks). Got a slew of groceries (narrowly avoiding a homicide) and returned home to make Puppy Chow (Crispex/chocolate/peanut butter/powdered sugar concoction) for our Sunday plans with Terry and Danielle. Celebrated the new VCR by watching Wanye's World. Tangentally, I miss Phil Hartman.

Had some supper and proceeded to kick some ass in Diablo II. Necromancers are difficult to make tough and efficient. Played some Yoshi as well.

Sunday was a trip to Kohl's for new shorts for Marie, a stop by my parent's house to pick up the CD burner (mwahahwahyeehaw) and visit for a bit before making our way to Danielle's. Meet up in Appleton, had some subs and headed to Two Rivers and the cottage. There is a light house that the Coast Guard used to use that can now be rented out for use during the summer. There are two cottages and a caretaker's area. Last time I was up there was for Danielle's high school graduation party (count them, six years ago). Danielle's brother and friend/girlfriend were there when we arrived, with Danielle's mom showing up shortly there after. We played on the beach, built a sand castle, took a long (extremely long) walk and enjoyed the weather. Had dinner and then played some Yahtzee. Danielle kicked all of our asses. I like dice games, we usually play them at Marie's grandparent's cottage too.

Anyway, Terry drove us back to Appleton around 9:15 and we headed back to Oshkosh. Had a quick shower to remove the sand and read through a magazine before crashing around 11:00.

Halfway to work I realized we hadn't paid the rent for July. Oops. Called Marie (who has the next two weeks off between camps) to drop off a check as part of the errands she had to run. As further as we would be if we both worked steady, full-time jobs it sure is nice to have Marie's flexible schedule for that kinda stuff.

I'm feeling about 97%, but my sinus headache just won't go away. It beat me up yesterday and it's poking me today too. I've got some meds that work pretty well, but they take a while to kick in. Perhaps some caffiene at lunch will help.

Yeah, that did the trick.
