Stupid sexy Flanders

Well, the illness has decided to set-up camp in my throat. Coating it with sandpaper and increasing the mucus just lying around seem to be the first (and most obvious) change. The illness has also re-directed the flow of saliva/mucus from the normal path down into my stomach and instead ordered it to be spread around my throat.

Echinacea to the rescue? Perhaps. I've taken two capsules (last night and this mornin') and can feel the troops being rallied.

The new NOFX double album is average, so far. First CD is all songs from compilations and b-side songs. I've got 13 of the 21 tracks already, but good to have them all together, and of higher quality than some of the mp3s I've found. Second CD is a compilation of two 7"s that were released and a few more random songs. Haven't heard it all the way through, but most of it leaves lots to be desired. I've always liked NOFX because they have stayed middle of the road. If they wanted to be selling out arenas and have state-of-the art equipment, they could. But they've stayed with what makes them happy and there is something so refreshing about that.

Played some cribbage with Terry and am now trailing a more respectable 9 to 5 (what a way to make a living, indeed) compared to the 6 to 1 advantage he had over me a week ago. Had a nice conversation with Brian and Terry as well. Discussed going back to Deja Vu with Brian, I think the three of us would have a nice time there. Perhaps in the next few weeks we can manage an outing.

Got groceries for the week and also for the dessert Marie and I will be furnishing (?) for our travels to Eagle River. It's an apple cake, but with granny smith apples and yellow cake mix. I think it's going to be interesting. Maybe I should become a chef.

The afternoon has been going rather swiftly and I can actually see the color of my desk. Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but it smells like progress.

I'm rather boring today. Sorry 'bout that.
