The smell of your sheets when you drifted off to sleep
I've deleted at least 500 work emails today, no fooling. I try to not be a packrat and remember days at my old job when my email inbox would be completely empty. Not the case anymore, which is a good thing. I've resolved to have at least one half-day per week with my door closed in my office. I can get so much more done if I don't hear the conversations going on right outside.
I was thinking yesterday about the need for enemies. I think they make you rethink your position and challenge you to find solutions. So, enemies would be beneficial to some extent. Is it noble to be enemies with someone with a greater good in mind? I need to think more often.
1. Given the ability to project yourself into the future, but not to return, would you do so? Would you go if you could take someone along?
No, I wouldn't. I'm curious about the future, but I would miss too much stuff in the present. Fry has a good life, but a hard one.
2. If you were to be cremated, where would you want your ashes scattered?
Thrown in the face of my enemies.
3. Five hundred years from now, only one book which exists today will still be available. Which book should it be?
I probably haven't read it yet, so I'll have to get back to you.
4. If a movie were made about your life, what would the theme song be?
JUMP by the Pointer Sisters
5. For $20,000 would you go for three months without washing, brushing your teeth, or using deodorant? You could not explain your reason to anyone. (Assume that there would be no long-term effect on your career.)
As long as there were no long-term effects on my tooth health either, yes. I would have to give half the money to Marie though.
6. If you saw someone shoplifting in an exclusive store, what would you do?
Tell a grown-up.
7. Have you ever been disappointed by a person you looked up to as a role model? Has a hero ever let you down?
I used to have some rock stars are heroes, but I think that's a pretty wrong way to view celebrities. I'd rather look up to someone real.
8. If you were to have a one-night stand with a current celebrity, who would you choose?
One-night stands are against my moral code, or something. But if I *had* to, probably Tina Fey. And we'd spend the night talking and playing cards.
9. Have you ever disliked someone for being luckier, more successful, or more attractive than you?
I'd rather be happy for them than begrudge them for something like that.
10. Is there anything you'd willingly give your life for?
Friends and family.
11. If you could have had a child with a famous person no longer living, whom would you choose?
You want me to fuck the dead? This survey has almost gone too far.
12. Have you ever genuinely wanted to kill someone, or wished someone dead?
Yes, in my more angsty days
13. If you were God for a day, what would you do?
I'd be tempted to wipe the slate clean and make everyone start over.
14. If you could be the parent of one famous person, who would you want it to be?
Carrot Top. His parents need to have a serious talk with him.
15. Have you ever stayed home from work or a social event because you were having a "bad hair day"?
My existance has been largely one bad hair day after another.
16. How many different sexual partners have you had in your life? Would you prefer to have had more or less?
One. At times, I wish it was more but then I come to me senses.
17. How many of your friendships have lasted more than 10 years?
Carrie B and I think that's it.
18. Do you have a favorite sexual fantasy? Would you like to have it fulfilled?
It involves Crystal Pepsi, so I think I'm out of luck.
19. If you had a chance to bring one person back from the dead, who would it be and why?
My dog, but only because we didn't bury her in a pet cemetary.
20. How would you react to finding out that your child was switched in the hospital with someone else's baby? Would your answer be different if the child you were raising was severely handicapped?
I would be weirded out at first, but it wouldn't really change things
21. If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think would be leading a life more satisfying than yours?
Maybe 5. I'm very comfortable with who I am. But I think it's a trick question because everyone is going to answer with a small number.
22. If a crystal ball would tell you the truth about any one thing you wished to know concerning yourself, life, the future, or anything else, what would you want to know?
I'd like to know who killed JFK. I would use this to become filthy rich and retire, devoting my life to doing only good things.
23. If at birth you could select the profession your child would eventually pursue, would you do so?
Absolutely not. I'd rather live my life through myself than my child(ren).
24. When you perform a difficult task successfully, do you tell people about it or keep it to yourself?
I gush over the smallest tasks, so the big ones get blown entirely out of proportion.
25. How do you know when you're in love?
When it feels just like this.
